Via shortcuts you can use the main functions of pixafe earth without using the mouse or menu.

| F1 | shows context sensitive help |
| ESC | closes an additional dialog |
| CTRL-O | File open |
| CTRL-D | Import gps-file |
| CTRL-R | read user defined locations |
| CTRL-I | read image folder |
| CTRL-S | save user defined locations |
| CTRL-X | exit pixafe earth |
| CTRL-G | goto location |
| PageUp | Go back one coordinate / image (depends on the current view) |
| PageDown | Go forward one coordinate / image (depends on the current view) |
| Home | Go to the first coordinate / image (depends on the current view) |
| End | Go to the last coordinate / image (depends on the current view) |
